Special thanks to all those
who volunteered their time to make this years banquet happen.
Jean Kates - designed and over saw
the assembly of the trophies (she also produce a 11 x 17 sized
poster/calendar which you should start to see hanging at your
dealers.
Betty Danilowitz - handled reservation funds,
seating and misc.
Cathy Curtin - handles the raffle and its
sponsors
Thanks to all those people who came out to help build this years trophies.
And thanks to Rick Ducette for organizing and donating the #1 plates
through Rick Mathews of Applied Graphics, Amsbury, MA and lastly
thanks to Stow Smead for his support and generosity.

For those of you who have not
yet been to an Awards Dinner here is the schedule of the event:
Expo at 1:00 - dinner
6:30
This includes vendors with new products on display, racing videos (bring
your favorite on VHS), cash bar and appetizers. Basically a five or so hour
bench racing session.
Dinner and Awards at
6:30
Buffet Dinner followed by: Worker Recognition, John Bettencourt
Sportsman of the Year Award, Vanson Rookie of the Year Award, Karen Hornbecker
Safety Award, Championship Trophy Presentation and a Raffle followed by music
and dancing.
You will receive info the
event which will include a reservation form and info on rooms at the hotel in a
mailing which should go out before the end of November. If you do not receive
this info before12/22/99 please email your address to steve@lrrsracing
.com and I will get it out to you. We try, but you may still have been left
off of someone's list. (we mail to racers lists present and past and to all the
workers lists which are submitted to us).
Tickets $37 Adult and
Children $14
(we are trying to keep the
prices the same as last year)
"Table For Ten" can be
reserved for $333
(you must organized your table and send in the check in
full)
Rooms at the Sheraton are $75
You must call the
hotel for your reservation at 203-573-1000 and tell them you are with LRRS GpPro
Roadracers group (regular price is $119 for single and $129
for double) and the hotel will hold a block of 95 rooms for us until 30 days
prior to the event)
Also: if you arrive before 3:00 on Saturday (the hotels normal check in time)
they will accommodate you as soon as the rooms are available from the previous
nights guests and they have extended our check out time till noon on Sunday
(buffet breakfast is available in the central restaurant). Bring you bathing
suit and work out gear - there is and indoor pool, Health club (Universal,
Stairmaster, Treadmill and Lifecycle), Sauna Jacuzzi, Racquetball and Wallyball.
